Getting Started

Is the app free to download?

Yes — Daily Business Idea is free to download on iOS and Android. The free plan includes a daily personalized business idea and the ability to save up to 10 ideas. A Premium subscription unlocks additional features.

What platforms is the app available on?

The app is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). There is no standalone web or desktop app — everything happens on your mobile device.

How do I create an account?

You can sign up with an email address and password, use a magic link (passwordless email sign-in), or continue with Google or Apple. All methods create the same type of account — choose whichever is most convenient for you.

What happens during onboarding?

After signing up, you complete a short onboarding that helps the AI understand your profile. You'll share your current situation (student, employed, etc.), primary goal (side income, full-time business, etc.), available budget, skills, weekly time availability, and the types of businesses you're interested in. This takes about 2 minutes and directly shapes the ideas you receive from day one.

How does the AI know what ideas to show me?

Your onboarding answers are converted into a preference profile. Each day, our AI matches that profile against thousands of business ideas using semantic similarity — taking into account your budget, skills, time availability, goals, and interests. The more you interact with ideas (saving, generating variations, skipping), the better the recommendations get over time.

How often do I get a new idea?

You receive one personalized idea per day. The idea refreshes daily and is tailored specifically to your profile — so every day brings a genuinely new opportunity matched to your situation.

Can I save ideas I like?

Yes. Free users can save up to 10 ideas. Premium users can save an unlimited number of ideas. Saved ideas are kept in a dedicated section of the app so you can revisit them anytime.

What are idea variations?

Idea variations are AI-generated spins on a business idea you like. If today's idea interests you but isn't quite right, you can generate a variation — a related concept that shares the same core opportunity but differs in niche, approach, or model. Variations are a Premium feature, with up to 10 per day.

What is on-demand idea generation?

On-demand generation lets you request a fresh personalized idea at any time, without waiting for the next daily idea. Premium users get up to 10 on-demand ideas per day. This is useful when you want to explore more options or are actively looking for your next venture.

Can I export my saved ideas?

Yes, Premium subscribers can export their saved ideas as a PDF. This is handy for sharing, printing, or keeping a personal record of ideas you want to pursue.

Does the app support dark mode?

Yes. The app supports light mode, dark mode, and an automatic option that follows your device's system setting. You can change the theme anytime from the Settings screen.

How much does Premium cost?

Premium is available as a monthly subscription at $9.99/month, or an annual subscription at $99.99/year (equivalent to about $8.33/month). Both plans include a 7-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new Premium subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) \u2014 not through our app directly.

  • iOS: Go to Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Daily Business Idea.
  • Android: Open Google Play → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Daily Business Idea.

After cancelling, you retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period.

What happens to my account if my subscription expires?

Your account stays active and your saved ideas are preserved. If you had more than 10 saved ideas, they remain visible but you won't be able to save additional ones until you re-upgrade. On-demand generation and variations will no longer be available.

Premium Personalization

What extra personalization does Premium offer?

After upgrading to Premium, you are invited to complete an extended onboarding that adds 17 additional preference signals to your profile. These are organized into four areas: Business Approach, Business Model, Values & Priorities, and Personal Context. The AI uses all of this to generate ideas that are significantly more targeted to your exact situation.

What preferences are included in the Premium onboarding?

Business Approach

Risk tolerance, preferred growth speed, work style (solo / small team / larger team), and innovation preference (cutting-edge vs. proven models).

Business Model

Business model type (online / physical / hybrid), customer type (B2B / B2C / both), preferred revenue models (e.g. subscriptions, one-time sales, services), target monthly revenue, and time to launch.

Values & Priorities

Passive income priority, social impact importance, sustainability focus, tech savviness, and any industries you want to exclude from recommendations.

Personal Context

Age range, family situation, and whether you have a dedicated workspace. These help match ideas to your real-life constraints and flexibility.

Can I skip the Premium onboarding and complete it later?

Yes. Every step of the Premium onboarding is optional and can be skipped. You can access and complete it later from your profile settings in the app.

Account & Settings

What sign-in methods are supported?

You can sign in with email and password, a magic link (a one-time link sent to your email — no password required), Google, or Apple. Use whichever method you signed up with.

How do I update my preferences after onboarding?

You can revisit and update your preferences at any time from the Preferences screen inside the app. Changes take effect immediately and future ideas will reflect your updated profile.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a link to set a new password. If you signed up with Google or Apple, you don't have a separate app password — sign in using the same social provider.

How do I delete my account?

To request account deletion, contact us at [email protected]. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data. Note that if you have an active subscription, cancelling it through the App Store or Google Play is a separate step.

Troubleshooting

The ideas don't feel relevant to me — what should I do?

First, check your preferences in the app and make sure your skills, interests, budget, and goals are filled in accurately. The AI learns from your interactions too — saving ideas you like and dismissing ones you don't helps it calibrate over time. If you're a Premium user, completing the extended onboarding significantly improves relevance.

I'm not receiving my daily idea

Make sure notifications are enabled for the app in your device settings if you rely on push notifications. The daily idea is also always available on the home screen of the app when you open it — pull to refresh if it doesn't appear.

I can't sign in to my account

Try these steps:

  • Check you are using the correct sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple).
  • Use “Forgot password” to reset your password if signing in with email.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Try closing and reopening the app.

My Premium features aren't working after subscribing

First, try logging out and back in — your subscription status is read from your account token and a fresh sign-in updates it. If the issue continues, ensure your payment went through in the App Store or Google Play. Still stuck? Email us and we'll sort it out.
